Chapter 3

Today I set about making my first snowman is about 20 years! My first attempt was a snowman in the back garden, I made him by piling up the snow and compacting it. I built him a head, gave him a carrot for a nose and 2 green leaves for eyes. (His eyes aren't in on this photo)

Here he is........You can also see Tilly trying to push her way through the snow bless her, its the first time she's fully been out in it! :D

Next Chris started rolling a massive snowball, then we squeezed in round the side of the house, pushed it down the garden path, down the road and to the path at the bottom of the road, where we made a life sized snowlady. She was complete with an hourglass figure, massive boobs, a blonde wig, a carrot nose, 5 Fox's Fruit Sweets for her smile and Chris's sunglasses..... oh and a scarf!

After we built her, we had to push about 5 cars out of the road then we tackled the road itself!

For 6 straight hours, me and lots of other people dug 5 inches of ice and about 3 inches of snow from the road. We dug out at least 100 yards of road! In total I counted at least 26 people helping, with half a dozen tea stops from several lovely people.

It really was good to see how the community pulled together, although we have had the snow now for 3 weeks so why it didn't all get done sooner is beyond me. Great big THANK YOU goes out to all those who helped, as now we can get out of the road!!! :)

Right I really am cream crackered so I'm off to bed
